Vivian D
Wallin
Jan 7, 1943 — Dec 19, 2025
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our cherished
mother, Vivian D. Wallin, whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched all who
knew her. She left us peacefully on December 19, 2025, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center
surrounded by her family, after a life filled with grace and devotion.
Vivian was born on January 7, 1943, in Somerset, KY and grew up in a home where
compassion and laughter were ever-present. She was the devoted daughter of Vola and
Gladys Hinkle, and from an early age, she displayed the warmth and generosity that would
define her life.
She married Curtis Wallin and together they built a loving home, raising their children with
patience, wisdom, and an unwavering sense of hope. Mom was our guiding light—her
gentle encouragement and steadfast support shaped us into the people we are today.
Vivan was known for her love of nursing. A lifelong caregiver, her interest in nursing peaked
at an early age. She was a candy striper in high school and went on to become a registered
nurse, practicing for 61 years. Whether she was caring for her patients or working alongside
her coworkers her generosity and kindness left a lasting mark. Her faith and compassion
guided her every action, and she inspired all who knew her to live with purpose and love.
Our family will forever treasure the memories of Vivian's laughter, her comforting
embraces, and her wise advice. She taught us the meaning of unconditional love and
showed us, by example, the importance of kindness and resilience.
Vivian is survived by her two loving children, Rebecca Wallin; Chris Wallin and beloved
daughter in law Elizabeth Cox Wallin; her sister, Lilian Randall; two brothers in law Jerry
Randall and William Campbell; four nieces Deborah Myers, Mary Briden, Teana Cambron,
and Jaime Randall; two nephews William Alan Campbell and James Ray Hinkle, and a host
of relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents,
her loving husband, Curtis, and brother Toby Ray Hinkle.
Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian D. Wallin will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 @
2:00 p.m. with visitation from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with
burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery in Fentress County, TN. Officiating will be Pastor
Marty Kirk and Tim Anthony. Those serving as pall bearers will be Tim Anthony, Alan
Campbell, Eric Gardner, Garry Garrett, Tim Suddarth, and Jonathan Young.
