Sandy was worn on December 25, 1958 at the coal miners hospital in Lynch, KY to Imogene (Halcomb) and J.B. Elkins. As a baby, Sandy was adopted by her maternal grandparents, Otis and Sarah Jane Halcomb of Partridge, KY, where she grew up.
Sandy was a factory worker for 17 years of her life and later became a Respiratory Therapist in 1996, which she worked at until retirement and made many, many friends along the way. She loved God, her family, the outdoors and quilting. She was a member of Paran Church for many year, and her mission in life was to make a difference here on Earth.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Brian DeFrance of Livingston, TN, sons; Billy Joe(Tina) Halcomb of South Carolina, Matthew(Darci) Brown of Rock Island, 8 grandchildren of which Tasha and Brandi were like her own children, 6 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and many in laws also survive.
Sandy was preceded in death by not only her parents, but also grandparents, adopted siblings and 1 brother.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Hall Funeral Home on September 02, 2026 starting at 5PM until 8PM.
Visitation will be held again at Paran Church in Rickman, TN on September 03, 2026, starting at 11AM until time of Funeral service at 2PM.
Funeral Service will be held at Paran Church in Rickman TN, on September 03, 2026 at 2PM, will burial to follow at the Paran Church Cemetery.
