Mrs. Rebecca Jane Garrett Matthews died Monday, July 23 in Indianopolis, Indiana. She was born on September 6, 1927 in Pickett County to the late Emery and Jesse Riley Garrett. She married Lenard Matthews on October 24, 1954. She was a homemaker and a hospital volunteer for 40 years. Survivors include sons, Gary (Camille) Matthews of Oaklandon, IN and Alan (Debbie) Matthews of Indianapolis, IN; a daughter, Pamela (Mark) naughton of Tulsa, OK; a sister, Brenda Jean (Harold) Stockton of Livingston. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,Husband; two brothers, Bill and Lester Garrett.
