Obituary

Patrica Ann Cardinale 71 of Rickman, TN past away suddenly Saturday, June 08, 2024 at Cookeville Regional Hospital after suffering a fall at her home.

Pattye was known to all as  a fun loving and witty individual with just a little sass that could make anyone blush. She was a friend to all near and far.

Originally from Syracuse, NY Pattye left her home state and joined the United States Navy and served her country proudly for over 21 years.

Enlisting November 1973, Pattye's career path took her to numerous Naval Hospitals including' Great Lakes, IL, San Diego, CA, Washington DC, Yorktown, VA, Charlestown, SC and Cuba. Her duties consisted of optician technician, hospital corpsman, hospital operating room technician and instructor. Pattye received numerous awards during her stellar career: Overseas Service medal, Navy Achievement medal, Meritorious Unit Citation Coast Guard Special Ops Service ribbon National Defense Service Medal and 2 Bronze stars. Honorably Discharged October 1994.

Pattye was a lover of animals, singing and shopping. Walmart will surely miss her. Pattye is survived by the love of her life for over 34 years, Peggy Sue Kenny. A sister Donna Cardinale Richter and her husband Tim of Acworth, GA. A special nephew Weston Richter. "Adopted grandchildren, Jenna Jolly and Jesse Jolly of Cookeville. A cousin Hollie Umphrey. Last but not least her numerous animal babies: Nicki, Dusty, BeBe, Sadie Mae, Shelby, Toby, Lilly, Mariah, Stormy, Beauty, Tucker, Lexis, Baby girl and Baby Kitty. Pattye was predeceased by her parents: Harry and Alice Cardinale and brother Richard.

A gathering to celebrate Patty's life will be held at the farm later this summer. A special thank you to all of the staff at the Livingston Rehabilitation Center for their supportive care and friendships

Pattye's final resting place will be in the Georgia Nation Cemetery, Canton, GA.
