Ms. Nelda Sue Looper, age 84, of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the Cookeville Regional Hospital in Cookeville, Tennessee.  Nelda was born Sunday, June 15, 1941, to the late Curtis and Juanita Harris in Carmi, IL.

In addition to her parents, Nelda was preceded in death by her sons: Michael Looper and Gary Looper.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Felicia Mitchell.

Nelda is survived by her daughter: Misty Looper of Livingston, Tennessee, and great-granddaughter: Ava Guist, and her daughter: Carole Moore of Cookeville, Tennessee.  Nelda is also survived by her grandchildren: Wesley (Cailey) Webb of Cookeville, Tennessee, Shanae (Johnny) Lee of Livingston, Tennessee, Stephanie Moore (Hailey) of Cookeville, Tennessee, Cameron Moore of Cookeville, Tennessee, Ashley (Kyle) Copeland of Rickman, Tennessee, Brandon Looper of Cookeville, Tennessee, Dana Looper of Cookeville, Tennessee, Casey Looper of Lebanon, Tennessee, Megan Looper of Rickman, Tennessee, and Tyler Looper of Chattanooga, Tennessee.  She is also my her many great-grandchildren.

Nelda enjoyed working and being around all the people at the Overton Restaurant.

The family has decided to honor Nelda's final wishes to be cremated.  No services are scheduled.
