Mrs. Nancy Jeanette Reed Brown, age 86 of Livingston, Overton County, TN passed from this life on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the Overton County Health & Rehab Center.
Nancy was born May 6, 1939 to R.D. and Lucy Reed, who predecease her. She was the sister of the late Beula (Richard) Thomas, the late Edna (Fred) Webb, the late Alma Dee Reed and the late Lavon (Jean) Reed. She married Joe Brown on May 26, 1960 and celebrated 63 years of marriage in 2023 before Joe's death later that summer.
She is survived by her daughters Teresa (John) Kelly of Hilton Head Island, SC and Tammy (Greg) Pass of Jacksonville, AL. She is also survived by her grandchildren Catherine (David) Sage of Savannah, GA, Michael (Meagan) Kelly of Nashville, TN, Tyler (Rachel) Pass of Cumming, GA and Lydia (Charlie) Haney of Foley, AL. Her great grandchildren are Emma and Luke Sage of Savannah, GA and Grayson Pass of Cumming, GA and Reid Kelly of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their extended families.
Nancy was a Christian and her family and friends can take comfort in the knowledge that she is in Heaven, united with Joe and the rest of her loved ones, and fully healed and happy. She was member of the Livingston Church of Christ for many years and was a member later in life at the Walnut Grove Church of Christ.
Services for Mrs. Nancy Jeanette Reed Brown will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Walnut Grove Church of Christ at 12 noon. The family will welcome friends at the church on that morning beginning at 11am. Pallbearers are John Kelly, Michael Kelly, Greg Pass, Tyler Pass, David Webb and Randy Loftis.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to make donations in Nancy's memory to the Happy Haven Children's Home in Cookeville, TN or the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
