Mr. Matthew Ray Barrett, age 33, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Livingston Regional Medical Center, Livingston, Tennessee.  He was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee on Friday, April 03, 1992 to Earl Ray Barrett and Debbie Ann Beechboard.

Matthew was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Donald and Beulah Pardue.

He is survived by his wife of four years, Jessica Barrett.  In addition to his wife, Matthew is also survived by his daughter, Aurora Barrett, his parents, Jessie and Debbie Beechboard, his sister, Shannon (Ronald) Winningham, his brother, Ethan Barrett, his nieces, Hiley Winningham, and Skyler Watkins, his nephew, Hunter Kington, his grandparents, Bill Beechboard, and Marie Smith.  Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends also survive.  Matthew is also survived by his cats (his fur babies), Mr. Wiggles, Tootie, and Kumho.

For the past four years Matthew served as a Lieutenant with the Rickman Volunteer Fire Department.  He love the Lord Jesus Christ, and was a Christian.

The family has chosen to honor Matthew's final wishes and have, therefore, selected cremation.
