Marilyn was known for her independent spirit and unique outlook on life. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, and spending time at the Senior Citizen Center. She lived life on her own terms and found joy in the simple things.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Sondra Hurt of Livingston, Tennessee, and Shonna (Randal) Daughtry of Crawford, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Ashly (Ivan) Figueroa of Mayfield, Kentucky, Katie (Kendal) Speck of Livingston, Tennessee, Jonathan (Kelsey) Melton of Gainesboro, Tennessee, Katrina Phillips of Monterey, Tennessee, Kaitlin (Beau) Gragg of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Jamison Phillips of Monterey, Tennessee; her great-grandchildren, Tyson, Aleah, Luca,Silas, Avery, and Lilly; her nieces, Kelly (Gordon) Fuqa, Kila Legler, and April Davis; and her nephews, Richie and Buck Townsley.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie (Seber) Phillips of Livingston, Tennessee; her father, Fred Townsley of Nashville, Tennessee; her sisters, Jackie Townsley and Gail Stewart; her brother, Fred Townsley; and her nephews, William Ross Cope and Shane Townsley.

Marilyn will be remembered for the life she lived and the memories shared with family and friends. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Take it easy Murt.

The family has chosen cremation and Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
