Our mother Marie Eldridge passed away and went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2024, at the age of 86 years old. She was a wonderful, loving mother who was always there when needed offering Christian wisdom, love and support.

She was born on September 10, 1937 and was raised in the Okolona community of Rickman, Tennessee, by her parents Claude Voyd and Myrtle Hammons. She was one of six children. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Dana, Bobby, Aaron and is survived by her brother Doyle Hammons and sister Judy Randolph.

Marie married Harrison Eldridge in 1954 and they settled in Hilham, Tennessee where they lived most of their lives and raised their three sons. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Harrison Eldridge and her Daughter Lesia Carroll Eldridge.

Marie is survived by her three sons:

Mike and wife Janet of Baxter, TN,

Mark and wife Karen of Maryville, TN,

And Matt and wife Vickie of Hilham, TN.

Grandchildren

Nathan and wife Diana Eldridge, David Eldridge, Sarah Apple and husband Conner, Rob Eldridge, Drew Eldridge, John Eldridge, Rachel and husband Andrew Whittenbarger, and James Eldridge.

Although we will miss her in ways that we may never be able to express, we take comfort in the joy, happiness and celebrations that she now enjoys and look forward to seeing her in the next life.

In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be given to Old Union Cemetery fund.

Funeral services for Marie Eldridge will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 1 PM from Hall Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Old Union Cemetery. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 4th starting at 10 AM till the 1 PM service time. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Jeremy Bilbrey and Bro. Bobby Gore.
