Mrs. Madeline Wright age 89 of Livingston, Overton Co., TN passed from this life on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the NHC Hendersonville in Hendersonville, TN.

Madeline Hamilton Wright was born February 16,1935 in Teaberry Kentucky to William and Maudie Hamilton. She was the second of seven children.

Known to family and friends as Maggie, she met the love of her life, George Porter Wright, in Chicago at the tender age of 17.  They married in Monroe, Tennessee on July 20 1952 and made their home in Livingston, Tennessee.

Madeline always had a mother's heart not just for the lives she birthed but for everyone she knew.

She became a mother at the young age of 19, raised 5 children, nurtured 5 grandchildren, and loved 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

Even in her final days of dementia care at NHC Hendersonville, she continued her 30-year passion of growing plants by spending time in the NHC garden with her family, holding hands and interacting with other residents, and was most content with a baby doll in her arms. She passed away at age 89 from dementia related causes. She was a beloved mother figure for many.

Maggie is preceded in death by George Wright, husband of 58 years and survived by 5 children: Pamela Cook; Linda Wooten and husband David; Karen Wright; Cindy White and husband Mark; and son Nathan Wright; 5 grandchildren: Aspen Kirby and husband Vince; Marshal White and wife Danielle; John Lucas White and wife Cassidy; Kadie Hogue and husband Jared; and Madeyln Wright; 11 great grandchildren: Zoiey Adcock and husband Matthew;  Jocelyn Cook; Lydia Cook; Wesley Hall; Juniper White; Thatcher White; Landry White; Jax White; Camryn Bilbrey; Hudson Hogue; and Andi Hogue; and 1 great-great grandson, John Roberts Sanders, Jr. (JJ). She is also survived by two sisters: Peggy Hall and Betty Williamson; several brother and sister-in-laws; nieces and nephews; and extended family.

Graveside services for Mrs. Madeline Wright will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 3 PM from the Overton County Memorial Gardens in Livingston. Family will welcome friends at the 3 PM Graveside. serving as pallbearers will be John Lucas White, Jared Hogue, Mark White, Nathan Wright, David Wooten, Jacob Shipley.
