Lyle William Blodgett, age 80, born in Vicksburg Michigan, passed away December 01, 2025. He was born to the late Wayne Olden Blodgett and Violet Irene Barber.
Mr. Blodgett is survived by, one brother; Stanley(Lulu) Blodgett, one sister; Sadie Devault Unger, six children, daughters, Violet (Butch) Houser, Brenda (Joey) Graves, Eva (Broozer) Cornelius, Laurie McDowell and Lisa (Mike) Smith, one son, Lyle O. Blodgett. Also survived by nineteen grandchildren and many, many great grands, and a host of other friends and family.
He is preceded in death not only by his parents, but eighteen siblings as well, his wife, Eltha Myrtle Tyler and one grandson, Lowell Tyler William Ambs.
Mr. Lyle Blodgett spent most of his younger years as a painter and worked with his dad and brothers on cars. He participated in many car races on the pit crew and drove in demolition derbies. This brought him into making his living buying, fixing, and selling cars, which he continued to do with his son until he could no longer. He liked going to casinos, old cars, and listening to country music. He loved seeing all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Blodgett shared a birthday with several family members, one being his brother George Hazen, one granddaughter, Rebecka Lowery, great granddaughter, Kaylie Ambs, and great grandson, Joshua Blodgett.
There will be visitation in the chapel of Hall Funeral Home on Thursday, December 04, 2025 starting at 2pm until 4pm. The family has chosen cremation after service.
