Mr. Luther Dean Phipps was born August 23, 1936 in Overton County, TN to the late Clarence Albert and Dovie Mae Garrison Phipps. He married Eva Lee Eldridge Phipps on Feb 28, 1958. He was a farmer and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church of Rickman. Survivors include his wife, Eva Lee Eldridge Phipps; sons and daughters in-law Larry Dean and Theresa Phipps, David Scott and Michelle (Micki) Phipps; a daughter and son-in-law Linda Lee and david A. Ledbetter. Grandchildren: Amanda Michele and Allen taylor, Daniel Dean Phipps, Katlyn Morney Phipps, Lucas Hueston Phipps, Marcus Allen ledbetter and Suzanna Elizabeth Ledbetter. Grandchildren: Emily Joan taylor and Evelyn Michele Taylor. He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Jonathan Cory Phipps and Sophie Grace Phipps and a sister, Jearline Hinson.
