Mrs. Lula Belle (Clark) Hammock, age 87, of Livingston, Tennessee, Passed peacefully from this life on the evening of Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Lula Belle was born on Thursday, May 27, 1937, to the late Garlon W. and Vivian Ruth (Stewart) Clark of the Hardys Chapel Community. She was the eldest of five siblings.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Lula Belle cherished her family deeply. She was happiest when spending time with her great-grandsons. Lula Belle was a long-time and dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church in Alpine, where her faith in Jesus Christ and fellowship of church family brought her great joy. A hard worker, Mrs. Hammock spent many years working in the shirt factory, Jerry's IGA, and Aeroquip. Although her life was filled with many challenges and hardships, Lula Belle persevered through faith, knowing that her children awaited her in Heaven.
She is survived by her grandson, Erik Hammock and his wife Jamie of Livingston; great-grandchildren Seth, Kevin, Brody, Liam, John Larkin, and Jameson, her sister, Anna Swan; nieces Terri Winningham (James) and Michelle Barnett (Bryan); and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lula Belle was preceded in death by her husband, MJ Hammock; her children, Randall Hammock and Rhonda Hammock; her daughter-in-law, Sandy Tinsley; grandson Cole Hammock; two sisters, Donna Deck and Rosa gray; her brother, Beecher Clark.
Serving, as pallbearers will be Seth Gilpatrick, Kevin Gilpatrick, Brody Gilpatrick, David Pigg, Herbert Clark, and Delon Clark.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Belle Hammock will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 2 PM from the Hall Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens; the family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening, January 26th starting at 6 PM to 9 PM. Officiating with the services will be Bro. John Copeland.
