DECEASED: Mr. Harley James (Jim) Sells age 87 of Livingston, Overton Co., TN passed from this life on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his residence.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. Harley James (Jim) Sells was born in Livingston, Overton Co., TN to the late R.M. and Willette (Bowers) Sells on Saturday, July 7, 1934. He married his beloved wife, Bobbie, on June 26, 1953. together, they raised two sons, James and Mark. He was a general construction worker for many years working with W & O Construction Company and Webb Electric prior to that. He proudly served his country in the Army and National Guard. Jim was a devoted husband, father, and pa. He was a longtime member of Free Communion Church of Christ, but most recently a member of Livingston Church of Christ. He was an avid sports fan, especially if his children or grandchildren were involved. He touched many lives with his involvement in Little League Baseball in Livingston. He knew a little something about almost everything and loved spending time talking with friends and family – rarely, if ever, losing an argument. He also had a passion for gardening and loved to load up his friends and family with produce each summer.

SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: James D. Sells and his Joyce, Mark Sells and his wife Tammie; 2 Grandchildren: Lindsey Loftis, Graham Sells; 3 Great Grandchildren: Judah Loftis, Matilda Sells, Lorelai Sells; along with a host of other family and friends.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Sells; and his siblings Fred Sells, Ethel Holman and an infant brother.

PALLBEARERS: James Sells, Mark Sells, Graham Sells, Jonathan Loftis, Danny Sells, and Danny Langford. HONORARY: Louis Oakley, John Umbarger, Riley Johnson, Rick Maynord.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mr. James Harley Sells will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 12 Noon from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Sells Cemetery located in the Monroe Community of Overton Co. family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning, December 18 ^th starting at 10 AM. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Jonathan Ledbetter. The family would also like to give a special thanks t o caregivers Diane Worley, Barbara Danner, Rusty Johnson and Linda Murphy. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Happy Haven Children's Home.
