DECEASED: Mrs. Ruby L. Smith age 86 of Cookeville, Overton Co., TN passed from this life on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Overton Co. Health & Rehab.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mrs. Ruby L. Smith was born in Hilham, Overton Co., TN on Tuesday, November 14, 1933 to the late James Elmer and Annie (Dale) Thompson. Ruby worked for 32 years at the shirt factory and attended Zion Hill Methodist church. Ruby loved her family and friends very much and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Cynthia Livingston and her husband Randy of Rickman, TN; 2 Grandsons: Gerald Livingston and his wife Kendra of Monroe, TN, Morgan Livingston of Rickman, TN; 2 Sisters: Villa Maxwell of Hilham, TN, Marcella Lancaster of Livingston, TN; 2 Sisters In-law: Elsie Jenkins of Cookeville, TN, Evelyn Poston of Hilham, TN.

PRECEEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents; Husband: Eugene Smith; 5 Sisters: Bessie Smith, Zilpha Barlow, Mary Lou Kottong, Norma Jean Smith, Veechel Stringfellow; 3 Brothers: Freeman Thompson, Sherman Thompson, Clifton Thompson; a host of nieces, nephews.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Ruby L. Smith on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 2 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Algood City Cemetery in Algood, Putnam Co., TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, August 20 ^th starting at 5 PM to 9 PM. Officiating the service will be Bro. Tommy Harris.
