DECEASED: Mr. Richard Grant "R.G." Huddleston age 88 of Livingston, TN passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville, TN.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. Richard Grant "R.G." Huddleston was born on December 14, 1925 in Livingston, TN to the late Oren and Nanny Winningham Huddleston. He grew up and went to school in Livingston, TN. At the young age of 17 he joined the Navy. He was also on the ship USS Burns in the Pacific and served our country in WWII for 3 years. R.G. and Oleta worked in Michigan for a short while. He decided to move back to Overton Co. ,TN to raise their family. He enjoyed going to the lake and teaching his sons to swim and water ski. He and Oleta loved to farming, garden together. They were a devoted family unit that loved one another. He had deep love for his brothers and sisters, also always enjoyed being with them whenever he could. There were many things that made R.G. smile, but,the biggest smile and joy came from being with his family.  other than your Salvation , your family is the greatest blessing that God has for you. R.G. knew that and that's what made his life Blessed and worth living.  His smile will be greatly missed, but, not forgotten through his family.

SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Carl Blane Huddleston of the Hardys Chapel Community and Richard Kent Huddleston of Cookeville. 1 Brother: Jack Huddleston of Celina 1 Sister: Carlene Wright of Muncie , Indiana 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grand children
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents: his wife: Oleta Robbins Huddleston whom he married on January 9, 1947. They were married 64 years. 1 Son: Steven Edward Huddleston. 1 Brother: Floyd Huddleston. 2 Sisters: Stella Cantrell and Aletha Almondrode .

SERVICES/BURIAL: Services for Mr. Richard Grant "R.G." Huddleston will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 @ 10am from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston, TN with burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens in Livingston, TN Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, July 1, 2014 5pm to 9pm Officiating will be Bro. Chris Sparkman
