DECEASED: Mr. Raymond Edward Miller age 81 passed away at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Friday, March 3, 2017.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. Raymond Edward Miller was born in Vines Ridge community of Crawford, TN on September 30, 1935 to the late Ruben Cordell and Ruby Rissy Norrod Miller. He was a Chief Warrant Officer for US Army. Raymond was in the Marines from 1954-1958 and in the Army from 1958-1975. He did two tours in Vietnam.
He loved to travel and had been in Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Ireland, Midway Island, Guam, Switzerland, The Little and Big St. Bernard passes over the Alps, Vietnam, Okenawa Island, Japan, Mt. Surbaichi (where the battle of the South Pacific was fought in1945). The Artic Circle north of Alaska. He had visited or served in forty-eight of the fifty states.
He was a member of the Netherland Church Of Christ at Rickman. He was a loving and compassionate Husband-Father-Brother-Grandfather-Uncle-Friend etc. He will remain in our hearts forever and be missed by all.

SURVIVORS: Wife: Ramona Miller; 2 Sons: David Miller and wife Kathy, Jon Miller and wife Julie; 1 Daughter: Kathy Ray and husband Keith; Step Daughter: Rhonda Garrison and husband Ted; Step Son: Russell Stewart and wife Suzie; 3 Sisters: Justine McDonald and husband Bruce, Twila Wilson and husband Larry and Judy Lowe and late husband Aaron, 2 sisters-in-law Mickey Miller, wife of the late Beecher Miller and Danette Miller, wife of the late Mike Miller; 5 Brothers: Bill Miller and wife Ima Jean, Clyde Miller and wife Pam, Howard Miller and wife Judy, Freddy Miller and wife Fredia, and Bruce Miller and wife Dianne; 6 Grand Children: Dusty Ray and wife Heidi, Lindsay Harp and husband Brett, Jessica Upchurch and husband Derick, Abby Miller and fiancée Scott Jolley, Xander Miller and Tanner Garrison; 3 Great Grandchildren: Parker Upchurch, Emery Harp and Miles Upchurch. A host of nieces and nephews also survives.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to His parents; Wife: Dorothy Scates Miller; 2 Brothers: Mike Miller and Beecher Miller; 1 Sister: Ruth Ann Miller.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Edward Miller will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from the Netherland Church Of Christ in Rickman at 11 AM with military honors provided by the VFW James T. Davis post 5062 of the VFW. The family has chosen cremation with burial at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-9 PM. Bro. Roddy Jackson and Bro. Robbie Miller will be officiating.
