DECEASED: Mr. Hershel Ray Wilson age 86 of Alpine, TN passed away on Wednesday night February 28, 2018 at the Signature Healthcare in Cookeville, TN.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. Hershel Ray Wilson was born in Crawford, TN on March 8, 1931 to the late Joe P. and Cora Lee Hoover Wilson. Hershel taught school for nine years before going to work for Union Bank and Trust and worked there for 38 years until retirement. He loved his family especially his grandchildren; he loved farming and gardening and loved to watch TN Tech play ball and also loved to watch wheel of fortune. Hershel will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

SURVIVORS: Wife: Georgia Key Wilson of Alpine, TN; 1 Son: Dester Wilson and his wife Donna of Rickman, TN; 1 Daughter: Gail Norrod and her husband Rick of Alpine, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Shauna Hargis and her husband Rodney, Emily McLearran and her husband Jeremy, Joshua Wilson, Caleb Wilson, Cora Wilson, Aaron Wilson; 1 Great Grandson: Wade Hargis; 2 Sisters: Genata Looper of Byrdstown, TN, Myma Miller of Monterey, TN; A host of Nieces, Nephews, Family and friends also survive.

PRECEEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents; 5 Brothers: George Wilson, Emerson "Red" Wilson, Lesley "Leck" Wison, Dester Wilson, Othel "Dobe" Wilson.

PALLBEARERS: Joshua Wilson, Caleb Wilson, Aaron Wilson, Rodney Hargis, Jeremy McLearran, B.J. Todd, and Cody Miller.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mr. Hershel Ray Wilson will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Copeland Cemetery located in the Alpine Community of Overton Co. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening March 2, 2018 starting at 5 PM until 8 PM with a Masonic and Eastern Star service a 7 PM. Morning visitation will be held Saturday, March 3 at 11 AM til 2 PM. Officiating will be Bro. Eric Dillon and Bro. John Turnbull.
