Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2 PM from the Rickman First Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11 AM until Service time at 2 PM. The family has chosen cremation and no graveside services will be held. Officiating will be Bro. Jeff Monday and Bro. Hoyt Looper.

Mr. Rastus "Rat" Bowman age 75 of Rickman, TN passed away at the Alvin C. York V.A. Hospital in Murfreesboro on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.

He was born in Overton County, TN on December 29, 1936 to the late Frank Denton and Hilda (Norrod) Bowman. He was the ultimate craftsman by trade and a master fisherman.

He is survived by: Wife: Flossie (Ledbetter) Bowman; 2 Sons: Wyatt Bowman and fiancé Lisa Toombs and Frank Bowman and wife Donna; 3 Sisters: Lola Dean Qualls and husband Charles, JoAnna Looper and husband Hoyt, and Frankie Ballinger and husband Phil; 5 Grandchildren: Amanda Breeding and husband Brian, Heather Greaves and husband Kevin, Megan Bowman, Jordan Brannan, and Conner Brannan; 1 Great Grandchild: Kyra Grace Breeding; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends also survive.
