Services will be held Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 1 PM from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with burial to follow in the Dugan-Smith Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5-9 PM. Officiating will be Bro. Howard Scroggins.

Mr. James (Ott) Simpson age 87 of Livingston, TN passed away on Thursday May 2, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Jamestown, TN on January 15, 1926 to the late James and Julie (Cooper) Simpson. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Falling Springs Church.

He is survived by: 3 Sons: Lester Simpson and wife Jeannie of Alpine, Jack Simpson and wife Cindy of Livingston, and Jim Simpson of Livingston; 4 Daughters: Flonnie Cooper and husband Ronald of Alpine, Brenda Cooper and husband Joe of Livingston, Treva Norris of Livingston, and Linda King of Livingston; 12 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, and a special niece Phyllis Simpson also survive.

He was preceded in death by: In addition to his parents; Wife: Hillie (Cravens) Simpson; Son: Lonnie Simpson; Granddaughter: Julie Leann Cooper; Grandson: Steve Paul Murphy; 2 Great Grandsons: Noah Simpson and Michael Brock Simpson; 5 Brothers: Ed Simpson, Wesley Simpson, Charles Simpson Jr., Archie Simpson, and Edna Simpson; 5 Sisters: Alma Cravens, Elvie Simpson, Dovie Simpson, Esther Turner, and Delia York.
