Norma Sue Walters passed away on April 1, 2016 at home in Livingston, TN. Sue was born December 21, 1932 to Hobert Barlow and Lela Carr Barlow in Livingston, TN. Sue had an Older brother, Earl. Due to the job situation, her father moved the family to Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Coventry High School, Akron in 1950. She was an excellent student and loved to learn.

She met Jim Walters and they married in Ohio. After having her five children on Ohio, Sue came back home to Tennessee in 1970.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Walters, father, mother, and brother. Sue is survived by four sons and one daughter, Danny Lee (Harlena), James Keith (Jennifer), Gordon Frank (Beth), Douglas Harold Walters, Cynthia Diane Bittinger; 9 grandchildren, Morgan, Kasey, Amber, Matthew, Sarah, Hailee, Mason Walters, Stephanie Verble, and Sheala Ashcraft.

Jim encouraged Sue to go back to school, where she received her BS in Nutrition and Food and a Masters Degree in Social Work in 1984. after graduation, she worked with the Department of Human Services in Livingston, and enjoyed helping people. Later on she worked Home Health, and then retired from the Livingston Hospital.

When living in Livingston, Sue began studying the Bible with Mary Jane Dortch. She loved what she learned and dedicated her life to Jehovah God. She and her daughter, Cindy symbolized their dedication by water immersion in April 2002 at Hyder-Burks Agricultural Pavilion in Cookeville, TN.

James Sherrill will be overseeing the memorial service which will be held at 11 AM April 9, 2016 and visitation will begin one hour prior at 10 AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 233 Wayne Avenue, Livingston, TN.
