DECEASED: Mrs. Leona McDonald Averitt age 97 of Livingston, Overton Co., TN went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 31, 2020.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mrs. Leona Averitt was born in Overton Co., TN to the late John Allen and Myrtle (Smith) McDonald on Saturday, July 14, 1923. Leona was a lady who loved helping others and volunteering her time for what she loved and cherished including the

Polio Foundation. She was a schoolteacher for many years and the chairman for the American Legion Auxiliary. Leona also joined a group that made pottery and truly loved doing it. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Livingston and helped in the church when and where she was needed. Also, she loved gardening and growing things. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and her church family who looked up to her for encouragement and guidance.

SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Peggy Averitt Endicott; 1 Granddaughter: Bethany Endicott Thier; several nieces, nephews, cousins.

SERVICES/BURIAL: A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 3 PM at the First Christian Church in Livingston. The family will also welcome friends at the church on Saturday, July 30 ^th from 6 PM until 9 PM then on Sunday, 31 ^st starting at 1 PM to 3 PM. Officiating with the service will be Bro. James Shenko. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mrs. Leona's memory to the Bethany Hills Camp by contacting the First Christian Church or donating directly to the church.
