DECEASED: Mrs. Maudie Lee Smith Gore age 85 of Livingston, Overton Co., TN passed from this life on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the Livingston Regional Hospital after an extended illness.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mrs. Maudie Gore was born in a log house on Winton Lane off Dogwalk Road in Alpine, TN on February 14, 1937 to Sid and Hiley Smith. Maudie's profession was an LPN for many years, it began at the age of 15 at the old Lady Ann Memorial Hospital in Livingston. Sports was also a very big part of her life, she loved bowling and played on several softball leagues from teenager until she was 59 years old. After breaking the same leg time, she decided it was time to retire from playing and started riding 4-wheelers in the Alpine mountains. When her boys were younger you could usually find her at the baseball fielding the summer where she kept the official books for over 10 years when the boys were playing. She also coached boy's minor league baseball (ages 6-7) for several years with only 1 loss in three years. She loved dogs especially Doberman Pinchers some of her favorites were Samson, Chico, Niko, Barney and Riley. Maudie was loved and will be greatly missed.

SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Jackie Stephens and wife Goody of Livingston, TN and Scott Gore wife Dixie of St. Petersburg, FL; 3 Granddaughters: Tina Albrecht husband Dan of Florida, Toni Shaffer husband Rob of Alpine, TN, and Courtney Marlow husband Jermy of North Carolina; Grandson: Brooks Gore and wife Amanda of Nashville, TN; 2 Great Grandsons: Levi Phillips of Florida and Dilan Stacey and his wife Ashley of Murfreesboro, TN; Great Granddaughter Emily Grace Smith and husband Jake of Monroe, TN and Kyley Albrecht of Flordia; and Two Great Great Grandchildren.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: Parents: Sid and Hiley Smith; Husband: Argyle Gore, Brothers: Minnis and Dinnis Smith; Sister: Glennis Hargis of Alpine, TN.

PALLBEARERS: Brooks Gore, Mark Gore, Rob Shaffer, Matt Blair, Rick Vaughn, and Jamie Ledford.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mrs. Maudie Lee Smith Gore will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11 AM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Green Hill Cemetery in Alpine, TN with Bro. David Beaty officiating the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, January 5th starting at 4 PM until 7 PM.
