DECEASED: Mrs. Mildred June Taylor Duke age 76 of Hendersonville, TN (formerly of Monroe, TN) passed away at her home in Hendersonville, TN, on Sunday morning, April 7, 2019. Special care was provided by her son-in-law, Dr. Dan Wunder.
PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mrs. Mildred June Taylor Duke was born in Albany, Kentucky on June 21, 1942 to the late Hobert Flem Taylor and Bessie Harvey Taylor and raised in the Heard Ridge Community of Overton County. Mildred worked for the Livingston Shirt Factory from 1959-1969, shortly before she moved to Nashville in 1970 with her husband, Earl Glen Duke, whom she married on October 12, 1968. Mildred was a member of the Antioch (Overton County) Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Sons- Jason (Tonia) Duke of Livingston, TN, Daryl (Misty) Duke of Old Hickory, TN, Russell Duke of White House, TN; Daughter- Melinda (Dan) Wunder of Hendersonville, TN; Sisters- Lura Richardson of Anderson, IN, Irene Taylor of Monroe, TN, Mary Taylor Duke of Monroe, TN; 6 Grandchildren- Emery Duke, Carter Duke, Cora Duke, Taylor Duke, Gary Butler and Josh Wunder; 3 special grandchildren – Noah Wunder, Nathan Wunder and Grant Wunder.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, Hobert and Bessie Taylor, are her Husband- Earl Glen Duke, Brothers- Paul Taylor, Curtis Taylor, Belvie Taylor, Herbert Taylor and J.L. Taylor; Sisters- Bertha Taylor and Martha Taylor Boswell.
PALLBEARERS: Gary Butler, Josh Wunder, Emery Duke, Carter Duke, Noah Wunder, Sean Calia.
SERVICES/BURIAL: Services will be held for Mrs. Mildred June Taylor Duke on Saturday, April 13, 2019 @ 10 AM at the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. Jason Duke will officiate the service. Burial will be at Miller's Cemetery on Mohawk Valley Road in the Taylor's Crossroads Community, Overton Co., TN. Family will receive friends at the Hall Funeral Home on Friday evening, April 12, 2019, from 6PM to 9PM. It is requested in lieu of flowers that any donations be made to the Miller's Cemetery Fund and the Antioch Church of Christ.
