Funeral services for Johnny J. Arney will be held at Hall Funeral Home in Livingston, TN on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM and Wednesday fro 11:00 AM til time of services. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in Allons, TN Officiating will be Bro. Harold Walker.
Johnny went to his eternal rest on January 11, 2014 He passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on May 28, 1928 to Erwin and Carrie Conners Arney. Johnny, his son Johnny Ray Arney, and nephew Dannie Dishman owned and operated Cookeville Trailer Repair. Johnny retired in 1992 from the Cookeville Trailer. He worked for Bangham Collection site and A & H Systems.
Johnny and Joyce Dishman were married for 33 years and had three Children. Johnny Ray,Sue, and Judy. Joyce passed away in 1978. In 1981 Johnny married Ruth Copeland Dyer and inherited her two daughters, Cheryl and Lisa Dyer.
Johnny is survived by his wife: Ruth Arney. Of Cookeville, TN 1 Son: Johnny Ray Arney and wife Thelma of Livingston, TN 4 Daughters: Judy Freels and husband Steve of Nashville, TN Sue Arney of Cookeville, TN Cheryl Dyer Case and husband Mike of Colorado. Lisa Dyer Fry and husband Rick of Unionville, TN 2 Sisters: Mae Lucas of Louisville, Kentucky and Dean Love of Lawrenceburg, TN 9 Grandchildren: Johnny Dewayne Arney, Jeffrey Dale Arney, Amanda, Nick, Becki and Sam Case, Cecilia King Millard, Sheila Nash and Mary Lawson. 20 Great Grandchildren. 8 Great Great Grandchildren and his beloved dog Skipper. Preceded in Death his first wife Joyce Dishman Arney. Father and step-Mother and Mother and Step-Father and brother Edward Arney.
