Gerald Hugh Peterman, son of the late Hugh Maxie Peterman and Lucille George Peterman, was born on July 13, 1949, in Allons, TN. He died peacefully on June 7, 2023, in his home in Hardy's Chapel, TN, at the age of 73.

Gerald was an active member of McFerrin United Methodist Church in Timothy, TN. He was the owner of Peterman Livestock and operated the business for over 40 years. Prior to owning his own business, he worked for Twin Lakes Telephone Company for a number of years. He also helped start, along with other friends, the first team ropings in Overton Co., TN, which have continued to this day.

He is survived by his daughter Wendy (Steve) Peterman Robbins, and his three sons; Clint (Kayla) Peterman, Jacob (Kimmie) Peterman, and Will (Hannah) Peterman. He is survived by eight grandchildren: Brea Robbins, Sawyer Robbins, Channing Peterman, Camille Peterman, Wren Peterman, Shepherd Peterman, Chance Peterman, and Hineni Peterman. He is also survived by his significant other Libby Pritchett. He was preceded in death by his brother Danny Clay Peterman.

Please join us at Gerald's Celebration of Life on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 3 pm at Hall's Funeral Home in Livingston, TN. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 pm to 3 pm.
