DECEASED: Mr. Otis Howard Hargis age 94 of Cookeville, Overton Co., TN passed away from this life on Monday Morning, February 18, 2019 at the Overton County Health and Rehab.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. Otis Howard Hargis was born in Monterey, Putnam Co., TN on March 27, 1924 to the late Buren and Dallas (Bowman) Speck. Otis was a member of the Zion Hill Methodist Church and served his country in the Army. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Roger Hargis and wife Anetta, Tim Hargis and wife Robin; 7 Sisters: Lois Cross, Debbie Hargis, Vicky Hargis, Naomi Cottle, Shirley Speck, Ruth Hill, Ann Copper; 5 Brothers: Jack Hargis, Paul Hargis, Bill Hargis, Tom Hargis, Aaron Speck. 6 Grandchildren: Dale, Tracy, David, Jayson, Gavin, Cindy; 7 Great Grandchildren: Coty, Amanda, Valerie, Alexandria, Olivia, Adam, Housten; 8 Great Great Grandchildren: Logan, Keelie, Isabeau, Conner, Willa, Jackson, Cerria, Maddison.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents; Wife: Eula Alene Hargis; Daughter: Wanda Hargis; 4 Brothers: J.B. Hargis, Ron Hargis, Earl Hargis, Tom Speck; 3 Sisters: Emogene Ogletree, Betty Hargis, Sue Hargis.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mr. Otis Howard Hargis will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Speck Cemetery in Overton Co., TN. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, February 20, 2019 starting at 6 PM until 9 PM. There will be a Masonic service Wednesday night, February 20, 2019 at 7 PM. Officiating will be Bro. Tommy Harris.
