DECEASED: Mrs. Linda Gayle Brewer age 71 of Cookeville, Overton Co., TN passed from this life on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mrs. Linda Brewer was born on Friday, November 23, 1951 in Nashville, TN to the late John Robert Younkin Sr and Marjorie Jackson Younkin. After graduating from Antioch High School, Linda attended Cosmetology school. She worked in that field in Maryland and in Tennessee. She also worked in the Dry Cleaning industry in Old Hickory, Hendersonville, and Gallatin, TN. She worked with special needs students in the Sumner County School system. Linda also drove a school bus in Sumner County and in Putnam County. Mrs. Brewer worked at the Food Lion stores in Gallatin and then in Cookeville. As a caring lady, Linda worked in the home health field, always with a desire to help those in need. She was a member of the Netherland church of Christ. Linda will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

SURVIVORS: Husband: Paris Brewer Jr.; Sons: Keith Brewer and his wife Tammy, and Kevin Brewer and his wife Nancy; Grandchildren: Laura and her husband Terry, Jacob, Zachary, and Zoe; Siblings: John Younkin Jr and his wife Vicki Gerald Younkin, Sandra Singleton and her husband Tim, Amy Bode and her husband Joe; Numerous niece and nephews as well as a host of family and friends also survive.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: By her parents.

PALLBEARERS: Jacob Brewer, Terry Carroll, Brenton Younkin, Chris Smith, Randy Pearce, Carl Riechman. Honorary Pallbearers: Zachary Brewer, Matt Brown, Sam Nelson, and Cody Brewer.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services Mrs. Linda Gayle Brewer will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11 AM in the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Turkeytown Cemetery in Celina, TN. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 5 PM to 8 PM. Officiating will be Bro. Tim Singleton.
