Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Thursday, June 21, 2012 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Zion Hill cemetery in Rickman. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, June 20, 2012 from 4-9 PM. Officiating will be Bro. Donald Cobb. Mr. Layton Elmo Cox age 77 of Hilham, Tn passed away at his residence on Tuesday June 19, 2012. He was born in Overton County, TN on June 29, 1934 to the late Oplis and Oza Ann Phillips Cox. He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Livingston. He is survived by: Wife: Velora Faye Cox; 3 Sons: David Cox and wife Terri, Steve Cox and wife Joanna, and Bobby Joe Cox; 4 Daughters: Cindy Elrod and husband Lloyd Ray, Teresa Johnson and husband David, Angee Randolph and husband Chris, and Amanda Cox; 23 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by: In addition to his parents; 1 Son: Michael E. Cox and 1 Grandson: Michael E. Cox II.
