Deceased: Bro. Elmer D. McCowan age 78 of Cookeville passed away at his residence on Saturday evening, April 25, 2015

Personal Info: Bro. Elmer D. McCowan was born in the Dry Hollow Community of Overton Co., TN on January 29, 1937 to the late Johnnie and Willie Pippin McCowan. Bro. Elmer was a minister of the Free will Baptist for 43 years.

SURVIVORS: Wife: Janis Faye McCowan of Cookeville, TN. 2 Sons: Joey & Wife Brenda McCowan of Monterey, TN. Randy & Wife Melanie McCowan of Cookeville, TN 3 Granddaughters: Crystal McCowan, Jessica Williams, Danielle McCowan. 2 Grandsons: Jamie McCowan, Jonathan McCowan. 1 great Grandson: Gavin Lane. 4 Sisters: Joanne Carmack, Elsie McCowan, Dean Copeland, Sue Copeland. 4 Brothers: Oscar McCowan, Oliver McCowan, Paul McCowan, Argle McCowan.

Preceded in death by: In addition to his parents; 1 Sister: Sally McCowan. 1 Brother: Daily McCowan.

Services / Burial: Services will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 @ 2pm from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston, TN with burial to follow in the Harris Chapel Cemetery in Overton Co., TN the family will receive friends @ the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 starting 5pm to 9pm then, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 12 noon to 9pm. Officiating will be Bro. James Phillips and Bro. Frank Davis.
