Mr. James E. Smith age 75 of Monroe, TN passed away Friday morning, May 4, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Mr. James E. Smith was born in Monroe, Overton Co., TN on March 2, 1943 to the late Earnest and Agnes (Mullins) Smith. He worked as a mechanic and was a member of the American Legion for many years.

SURVIVORS include his Wife: Helen Smith of Monroe; 2 Daughters: Nancy and Connie Smith of Monroe; 2 Sisters: Sally Murphy of Cookeville and Helen Norrod of Monroe; A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive.

In addition to his parents Mr. Smith was preceded in death by: 4 Brothers: Charlie Smith, Clifford Smith, Howard Smith, Turlie Smith; 1 Sister: Magdalene Choate.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mr. James E. Smith will be held Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11 AM at the Livingston Chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro Bennie Sells and Bro. Rick Cross officiating. A graveside service with military honors will follow. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening beginning at 3 PM until 9 PM at the funeral home.
