Deceased: Mr. Derek E. Sidwell age 42 of Allons, Clay Co., TN passed from this life on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

PERSONAL INFO: Derek E. Sidwell was born in Livingston, Overton Co., TN on Tuesday, December 19, 1978 to Gary and Tammy (Hummel) Sidwell. Derek was a detective for the Overton County Sheriff's Dept; he was known as Sid. He helped surrounding counties when needed. He loved his job and helping people. Derek was a member of the Willow Grove Church of Christ. He loved his family very much and if you knew him then you had a friend. He will be greatly missed.

SURVIVORS:   Wife: Brittany Sidwell; 1 Daughter: Peyton Sidwell; 1 Son: Mason Sidwell; 2 Grandchildren: Jameson Sidwell and Hudson Sidwell; Parents: Gary and Tammy Sidwell; 1 Brother: Matthew Sidwell and his wife Brittany; Grandmother: Betty Hummel; A host of Aunts, Uncles, family, friends also survive.

Services / Burial: Funeral services for Mr. Derek E. Sidwell will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021 at 2 PM from the Willow Grove Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Willow Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening, Sept. 5 ^th starting at 5 PM until 9 PM. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Kevin Strong.
