Mr. Roger Dale Dancy, 70, passed from this life on Thursday morning July 30 ^th , 2020 from Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born June 14, 1950, in Jefferson, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Millard Dancy and Hester Cleary Dancy.

Dale retired from Hutchinson FTS, Inc. in 2012. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virgie Taylor and Mae Hash and five brothers, Bill Dancy, Ray Dancy, Elbert Dancy, Roy Dancy, and Sam Dancy.

Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Barbara Lea Dancy; two daughters, Melissa Dancy Osborne(Eric) of Jefferson, North Carolina and Lisa Dancy Dishman(Charles) of West Jefferson, North Carolina; two stepsons, Scott Marsh(Tammy) of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina and Robert Marsh(Julie) of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; four grandsons and four granddaughters and one great-grandson; his brother Robert Dancy of West Jefferson, North Carolina and two sisters, Linda Weaver(Earl) of Hudson, North Carolina and Myrtle Shatley of West Jefferson, North Carolina; his mother and father-in-law, Gladys and Bill Miller of Livingston, brother-in-law, Dr. Gary Miller(Susan) of Woodstock, Georgia. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Dave Roberts of Livingston. A special thank you to Tommy and Missy Ray of Livingston.
