DECEASED: Mr. Doak D. Turner age 85 of Cookeville, Overton Co., TN passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. Doak Turner was born in Hilham, Overton Co., TN on October 8, 1937 to the late Haywood Turner and Eva Mae Swan. He was a member of Monterey First Assembly of God. He was married for 65 years to Mildred F. Hawkins, they wed on December 22, 1957. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Hawkins Turner of Rickman, TN ;   Son: Nick Robin Turner and wife Leila Garrett Turner of Livingston; Daughter: Terri Yvonne Turner Melton of Rickman; Grandsons: Eric Turner of Rickman, Nathan Turner and wife Shavohn Turner of Monterey, and Andy Melton of Cookeville; Great Grandchildren: Braiden and Liera Turner, Logan and Jaxon Turner; Brothers and Sisters: Jim and wife Joann Turner of Livingston, Tommy and wife Sharon of Livingston, Ted Turner of Hilham, Pat Cravens of Rickman, Jean Long of Monroe, Faye Thompson of Timothy; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: Parents: Haywood and Mae Turner; Brothers: Jack and wife Sarah Turner, Bob and wife Judy Turner, and Darrel Turner and sister in law Bernice Turner; 3 Nephews and 1 Niece.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mr. Doak Turner will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 11 AM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Concord Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, December 30, 2022 6 PM to 9 PM . Officiating will be Bro. Terry Bailey, Bro. Howard Dailey, and Glen Burkes.
