Obituary

Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Celebration of Chuck's life will be held at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Livingston with Brother Joel Chappell officiating. Burial will be at Good Hope Cemetery in Overton County.

Clarence (Chuck) Iverson Crabtree age 85 of Livingston, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

He was born on April 13, 1935 in Jamestown, Tennessee to Benton McMillan and Fannie Mae Hurst Crabtree. While serving in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, Chuck and Wanda met and were married in California in 1953. They raised their family in California until they retired to Livingston, TN in 1993. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Livingston where he enjoyed singing in the choir, Men's Bible Study Group, participating in the plays, and door-to-door visitation.

Some of his favorite things to do were getting together with his closest friends from church to play guitar and sing, camping in their RV around the US, doing the woodworking for the baskets that Wanda made, going to Dailey and Vincent concerts any chance he got, working on cars, camping on the creek, fishing from his boat, mowing his yard, piloting planes, repairing anything that was broken, keeping his birds and squirrels fed, and listening to bluegrass music. But his very favorite thing to do was spending time with his family and his wife Wanda, whom he loved so very much.

He is survived by his (2) daughters: Denise and Barry Henry and Debra Crabtree, (1) brother: Benton and Ordean Crabtree, (5) grandchildren: Brandee and Ronnie Noell, Garrett and Hetty Henry, Dustin Henry, Trevor and Michael Emmert, and Bekah Henry, (5) great-grandchildren: Caitlin and Cody Blakely, Cydnee Schuette Adams, Skylar McKinney, Violet Henry and Ivy Henry, (6) great-great-grandchildren: Caleb Blakely, Carionah Blakely, Liliana Schuette, Ashton Adams, Carsie Blakely and Lakoda Schuette, (1) sister-in-law: Betty Dilbeck and multiple nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Wanda Lorene Crabtree, parents: Benton and Fannie Mae Crabtree, sisters: Corie Parker, Irene Tinch, Cordie Hughes, and Marie Parker, brothers: Clem, Casto, and Cecil, brother-in-law: Jim Dilbeck and twin grandsons: Nathan and Jared Henry.

Pallbearers include Garrett Henry, Dustin Henry, Trevor Emmert, Michael Emmert, Harold Smith and Pele Perez.

The family would like to thank the physicians and nursing staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for the skilled and compassionate care that was given to Chuck during this difficult time. Special care provided by Hall Funeral Home.
