DECEASED: Mrs. Karen Cowan age 77 of Cookeville, Putnam Co. passed from this life on Tuesday February 14, 2023, at Bailey Manor in Cookeville,

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mrs. Karen Cowan was born on December 6, 1945 in Rickman, TN to the late Thurston Swallows and Ella Anderson. Karen was a loving mother to her children; she had a heart of gold and helped many throughout her life. She worked as a bookkeeper with the Overton School system for 35 years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends very much.

SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Camellia K. Stanfield; 3 Sons: Wynn A. Cowan, Kevin L. Cowan, and Kenric D. Cowan; Sister: Wilma (Swallows) Gentry; Brother: Gary Swallows; 5 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; a host of other family and friends also survive.

PRECEEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents; Her Husband: Knox Cowan Jr.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Karen Cowan on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11 AM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Netherland Cemetery in Rickman, TN. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, February 17, 2023 starting at 6 PM until 9 PM for visitation. Officiating the service will be Bro. Teston Gilpatrick.
