DECEASED: Mr. M. C. Brown age 91 of Livingston, Overton Co., TN passed away peacefully at Mabry Health Care on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. M.C. Brown was born to the late Curtis Brown and Mabel Bowman in Crawford, TN n Tuesday, October 27, 1931. M.C. was a tire builder at Dayton Tire & Rubber Company for 21 years until becoming disabled in 1971. He did many odd jobs for people to support his family. His last job was delivering meals on wheels for UHCRA until 1988. He loved to talk to the shut-ins because he didn't want them to feel forgotten. M.C. had many hobbies through the years such as arrowhead hunting, collecting antiques, working on watches and clocks, and playing a mean game of pitch at the Senior Center. He loved animals and had rescue dogs and cats through the years. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Molly.
SURVIVORS: Daughter: Diane Brown; 1 Granddaughter: Michelle Smith Stankey (Sam); 1 Grandson: Mark Smith; 4 Great Grandchildren: Micaela Smith, Maggie Gabr, Caleb Stankey, and Logan Elson; 1 Brother: Bobby Brown and his wife Mary; 2 Sisters: Reba Cantrell and Roena Phillips; a host of family and friends also survive.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents; Wife: Pauline (Nobia) Brown; 1 Daughter: Carolyn Smith; 1 Grandson: Michael Smith; 4 Brothers: Johnny Ray Brown, Eugene Brown and his wife Zula, Roscoe Brown, and Kelly Brown and his wife Velma.
SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mr. M. C. Brown will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 at 12 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston, TN with burial to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Allred, TN. Family will receive guests at the funeral home on Friday 11 AM until services begin. Officiating will be Bro. David Harris. The family wishes to express special thanks to Avalon Hospice, the staff of Mabry Health Care Center and the staff at Cracker Barrel Country Store in Cookeville, TN.
