DECEASED: Mr. Alton Coy Vaughn age 94 of Monterey, TN passed away on Tuesday morning, September 2, 2014 at the Livingston Regional Hospital.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. Alton Coy Vaughn was born in Overton Co., Allred, TN on June 23, 1920 to the late Hardy and Avo Ramsey Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn grew up on the river in the Allred community of Overton Co., TN. He served his country in World War II, he was in the Navy and participated in many battles in the pacific. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Monterey, TN. He was an outdoorsman who loved to spend time in his garden, where he grew vegetables and his award-winning flowers. He loved to fish and hunt.

SURVIVORS: his wife of 75 years, Uldean Ledbetter Vaughn of Monterey, TN 2 Sons: James Edward Vaughn and wife Brenda of Rochester Hills, Michigan Donnie Coy Vaughn and wife Denise of Greenfield, Indiana 2 Daughters: Joyce Vaughn Floyd and husband Earl of Monterey, TN Mavis Vaughn Giddens and husband Jack of Estill Springs, TN 3 Sisters: Illa Vaughn Seiloff of Leavenworth, Washington State Etheleen Vaughn Oaks of Crossville, TN Evelyn Kay Vaughn Garies and husband Bob of Chicago, Illinois 2 Brothers: DeLowell Vaughn and wife Betty of Cookeville, TN Leopald Vaughn and wife Kathy of Port Orchard, Washington State. 8 Grandchildren, 5 Great grandchildren, 2 Great Great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services will be held for Mr. Alton Coy Vaughn on Friday, September 5, 2014 @ 11 AM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home in Livingston, TN with burial to follow in the Falling Springs Cemetery in the Allred Community of Overton Co., TN Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 4, 2014 5PM to 8PM. Officiating will be Bro. Bill Ledbetter.
