Deceased: Mr. David Allard White age 61 of Livingston, Overton Co., TN passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Personal Info: Mr. David Allard White was born in Livingston, TN on Wednesday, December 28, 1960 to Allard and Naomi (McAlpin) White. David was a member of the Church of Christ having been Baptized at an early age. He was also a 1979 graduate of Livingston Academy. David continued his education at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he earned a BA in Political Science and BS in Business. He worked in the trucking industry for several years in Nashville and Knoxville. Needing a change, David then went back to school again and became an LPN. He then worked the last 17 years at NHC Fort Sanders in Knoxville. He really had a love for his patients and their families as well, worrying about them on his days off. In his free time, David always enjoyed the outdoors whether it be in the mountains or at the beach and ocean on a scuba diving adventure. David also had a great love for dogs, especially blue heelers. Two of his best friends in life were Tater and then Buster. David was known to have a great sense of humor and a likeable personality. He also loved the Tennessee Vols, especially football and basketball, he loved life and he loved his family and friends. He will truly be missed.

Survivors: David is survived by his Daughter: Alicia Gunnels and her husband Andy; 1 grandson: Jack Andrew Gunnels; Parents: Allard and Naomi McAlpin White; 1 Sister: Vicki White of Cookeville; 1 Brother In-Law: Gary Walker of Rickman; 2 Nephews: Jason Walker and his wife Christina, Brandon Walker and his wife Brandy; 6 Great Nephews: Peyton Walker and his wife Jessica, Mason Walker, Colson Walker, Paxton Walker, Colton Walker, Brody Walker; 1 Great Niece: Katelyn Walker; 2 Aunts: Ethel White, Maybelle McAlpin; 6 Cousins: Anita (White) Burnett and her husband Lynn, Karen (White) Baltimore and her husband Allen, Kim McAlpin Horn, Tom McAlpin II, Tim McAlpin , Kris McAlpin; David is also survived by many other family members and lifelong friends and c-workers who are saddened by his loss.

Preceded in death by: 1 Sister: Vivian White Walker; 1 Nephew: Michael Shawn Walker; His Grandparents, Buster and Lola McAlpin; 2 Uncles: Thomas McAlpin and Allon White.

Pallbearers: Jason Walker, Peyton Walker, Mason Walker, Colson, Walker, Paxton Walker, and Colton Walker. Honorary: Rick Baird, Allen Baltimore, Don Burnett, Troy Huff, Harold Ledbetter, Jeff Misenhimer, Mike Sidwell, and Katelyn Walker.

Services / Burial: Funeral services for Mr. David Allard White will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 27 ^th , starting at 5 PM until 9 PM. Brothers Jonathan Ledbetter and John Mabry will be officiating the service.
