DECEASED:  Mr. Lester Simpson age 72 of Alpine, Overton Co., TN passed from this life on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. Mr. Lester Simpson was born on Tuesday, May 6, 1952 in Jamestown, Fentress Co., TN to the late James Ottley and Hillie Mae Cravens Simpson. Lester was a church member at Cooper Chapel Church. He worked at the Gary Webb Sawmill and Allons Sawmill for many years. Lester loved farming, mowing, and riding four wheelers, but most of all he loved his family, they were very special to him.

SURVIVORS: Wife: Jeannie Simpson; 1 Daughter: Teresa Smith and her husband Glenn; 1 Grandson: Roger Neal; 1 Brother: Jackie Simpson and his wife Cindy; 4 Sisters: Flonnie Cooper, Treva Presley and her husband Bruce; Linda King, Brenda Cooper and her husband Joe; A host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends also survive.

PRECEEDED IN DEATH:  In addition to his parents; 2 Brothers: Lonnie Simpson and James Simpson.

PALLBEARERS: will be family and friends

SERVICES/BURIAL:  Graveside services for Mr. Lester Simpson will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 2 PM from the Dugan Smith Cemetery in the Alpine Community of Overton Co. Family will welcome friends at the 2 PM graveside. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Cleston Ledbetter.
