Keith Pemberton, age 78, passed away on Monday morning, June 3, 2024 at his residence in Livingston, TN.
Keith was born in Oneida, TN, to the late JD Pemberton and Norma Fay Todd Pemberton.
Keith was a heavy equipment operator and loved working outside. He was an avid sportsman, who loved to hunt and fish, especially in Dale Hollow Lake, where Keith and his wife were fixtures on A Dock for many years. Keith was a born storyteller. He had a way with the spoken word that not many possess! His talent for storytelling was so great that he could hold the attention of a room, telling stories in such a way that the events and scenes form them came to life vividly.
Family was at the center of Keith's life. He is survived by: Wife of 36 years, Sheila Babcock Pemberton, sons Bryan (Rani) Pemberton of Oak Ridge, TN, Jeff (Jennifer) Pemberton of Clinton, TN, Kendrick (Stefani) Pemberton of Corryton, TN, Rusty (Naomi) Maxwell of Tipp City, OH, siblings Craig Pemberton of Venedocia, OH and Brenda Pemberton Tate (John) of Robbins, TN, sister-in-law Rita (Scott) Pemberton and siter-in-law Kay Babcock of Celina, Ohio, Six Grandchildren: Dylan Pemberton, Jeremiah Pemberton, Anasten Pemberton, Taylor Pemberton, Elizabeth Maxwell and Ethan Maxwell, nieces Annette Lewis, Natalee Tate, Cassandra Hicks and Sierra Hamby, and nephews John Tate, Jeremy Pemberton and Jason Pemberton. Last but not least, Keith is survived by his dear friends at A Dock at Willow Grove Resort on Dale Hollow Lake. In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by brother, Scott Pemberton and son, Nick Maxwell.
A Celebration of life will be held at Main Street Garage located at 903 East Main Street Livingston, TN on Friday June 21, 2024 from 6-9 PM with a brief service at 7 PM. all are welcome and encouraged to attend this event to remember the life of Keith.
