Johnny Ray Cyrus, 67 years of age, passed away on August 28, 2024 at home.

Johnny was born August 23, 1957 in Jamestown, Tennessee. He was proceeded in death by his parents Walter S. Cyrus & Ruth E. Sells Cyrus. He was the youngest of four children.

Survived by his wife of 46 years, Bettye Moran Cyrus. Three children, Lelia Cyrus (Rob) Oakley of Livingston, TN, Johnny (Lindsay) Cyrus of Gainesboro, TN, and Jacob (Lauren) Cyrus of Cookeville, TN. Ten grandchildren, Rob Oakley IV, Ellie Oakley, Ava Cyrus, Cully Oakley, Hudson Cyrus, Beckett Cyrus, Mallie Cyrus, Hayden Cyrus, Ruth Cyrus, and Hallie Cyrus. Three siblings, Ret. US Army Colonel Ron (Brenda) Cyrus of Eastover, NC, Yvonne (Bob) Pennington of Celina, TN, and Joan (Larry) Melton of Allons, TN. Uncle, George Sells of Livingston, TN.

Johnny was ordained as Deacon on July 28, 2024 at Monroe Christian Church.
His wife, children, and grandchildren were the light of his life. He enjoyed being around the youth coaching baseball, farming, and was a lover of all animals. He also had a long career in the trucking industry and enjoyed customized Peterbilt Trucks.

Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Louis Oakley IV, Cully Kruz Oakley, Hudson Knight Cyrus, Beckett Ray Cyrus, and Hayden Wade Cyrus.

Visitation times at Halls Funeral Home are from 5-8 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2024 and 1-3 PM on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, Johnny has requested donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.                                                                                  P
