Mr. John Michael Florea age 73 of Cookeville, Putnam Co. TN passed from this life on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

John Michael Florea was born in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan on Sunday, July 27, 1952 to the late Michael Florea and Cornela Handy Florea. John loved his family and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in the Allred Community of Overton Co. and also a member of the Mason Shiloh Lodge # 637. he was a retired electrician and he loved his family very much and also loved riding his Harley Davidson. John will be missed by all who knew him.

John Michael Florea is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Katherine "Kathy" Florea; Children: Michael (Jean) Florea, Jim (Jessica) Florea, Dustin Long, Kim (Marvin) Dixon, Bailey Long, Teresa Ward (Adam Carr); 1 Step- Child: Terry Owens, JR.; 22 Grandchildren; 6 Great grandchildren; Preceded in death by: In addition to his parents;  His second wife, Shawna Florea; Son: Sam Florea; Step-Daughter: Michelle Huddleston.

Funeral services for Mr. John Michael Florea will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2 PM from the Hall Funeral Home in Livingston, TN with burial to follow in the Falling Springs Cemetery in the Allred Community of Overton Co., TN the family will welcome friends at the funeral  home on Tuesday, December 16th starting at 7 PM to 9 PM. On the day of the funeral service Wed. 17th at 1:30 PM there will be a Masonic service held just before the Funeral will begin. Officating with the service will be Jeff Cotterman.
