DECEASED:  Mr. James "Jimmy" Earl Carter age 72 of Lafayette, Macon Co., TN and formally of Livingston went home to be with his Lord and Savior and his wife Judy on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Macon County Community Hospital.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:  Jimmy was born in Cookeville, Putnam Co., TN on Friday, May 23, 1952 to the late Earl D. and Bronzia "Odell" (Ledbetter) Carter Sr. Jimmy was a native of Livingston, Overton Co., TN and a member of the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. He was married to Judy (Deck) Carter who passed on December 15, 2020. Jimmy loved his family very much along with his church family. Jimmy and Judy sung in church for many years and loved to sing about Jesus. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.

SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Jason Carter and his wife April of Lafayette, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Tyler (Ashlea) Carter of Lafayette, TN, Austin (Kaleigh) Carter of Lafayette, TN, Trevor Carter of Bowling Green, KY, Adriana Carter of Cookeville, TN; 2 Great Grandchildren: Abbie Dickson, Chase Carter; 1 Sister: Mary Nethery and her husband Joe of Middleton, Indiana; 1 Brother: Carl Carter of Anderson, Indiana; A host of family and friends also survive.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents; Wife: Judy (Deck) Carter; 1 Son: Travis Wade Carter.

SERVICES/BURIAL:  Funeral services for James "Jimmy" Earl Carter will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 2 PM from the Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with burial to follow in the Green Hill Cemetery in Alpine. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 29th starting at 11 AM until service time. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Jeff Short.
