A memorial service for Mr. Jerry Cecil Young will be held at Hall Funeral Home on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Family will welcome friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, until the service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Timothy Miles will officiate. Mr. Young passed from this life on Tuesday, March 12 from the Overton County Nursing Home.

Jerry was born on October 1, 1944, the oldest son to the late Cecil and Ester Beatrice (Coffee) Young in Monroe, TN. He was a graduate of Livingston Academy and a mechanic by trade. Jerry loved to talk and everyone who met him described him as a very kind man.

He is survived by his son Steve (Holly) Young of Sparta, TN; Stepdaughters Sherrye (Steve) Smith of Cumming, GA; Robin (Tom) Kenny of Woodbridge, VA; Stepson Jamie (Amy) Loftis of Livingston, TN; Grandson Josh Young of Sparta, TN; Step grandchildren, Brooklynn, Tyler and Levi Loftis of Livingston, TN, Amy Hoffmann of Tompkinsville, KY;  Step great-grandchildren Erin Sullivan of Woodbridge, VA; and Eiji and Kai Hoffmann, both of Tompkinsville, KY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives Carolyn (Lancaster) Young, and Joyce (Nolen) Young, sister Carolyn Louise Meadows, and infant sister Sheila Ann Lee Young.
