DECEASED:  Mr. Jerry Austin Newberry age 71 of Alpine, Overton Co., TN passed from this life on Friday, October 11, 2024 at his residence.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mr. Jerry Austin Newberry was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wood County, Wisconsin on Tuesday, April 21, 1953 to the late Charles and Sylvia (Smith) Newberry. He was of the Presbyterian Faith. He served in the Army. Jerry worked for the Georgia Pacific paper company for many years. He loved his family and friends very much and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

SURVIVORS: Wife: Ruth Ann Cravens Newberry of Alpine, TN; 2 Sons: Charles Newberry of Wausau, Wisconsin, Jeremiah Newberry of Baraboo, Wisconsin; 1 Daughter: Sarah Newberry of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; 5 Sisters: Ruth and her husband Robert Cline of Wisconsin, Patricia and her husband Bill Schulz of Vesper, Wisconsin, Linda and her husband Larry Nelson of Arpin, Wisconsin, Kathy and her husband Ron Kremer of Pittsville, Wisconsin, Jackie and her husband Charlie Vancil of Arpin, Wisconsin; Several grandchildren; 2 Step Children: Darrell Cravens of Alpine, TN, Amanda Conatser of Alpine, TN and 3 Step Grandchildren; A host of other family and friends also survive.

PRECEEDED IN DEATH:  In addition to his parents; 2 brothers and 1 grandchild.

SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Austin Newberry will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 2 PM from the Hall Funeral Home with burial in the Newberry Nettle Carrier Cemetery in Alpine. Family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 15th starting at 11 Am till service time.  Officiating with the service will be Bro. Cleston Ledbetter.
