Mr. Jerry James Madison Maxfield of Monterey, Putnam Co., TN passed away at the age of 73 on the early morning of May 20, 2024 at the Cookeville Regional medical Center. His wished of cremation and no funeral are being honored. Mr. Maxfield was born on June 08, 1950, to the late John C and Sadie Pearl Dulworth Maxfield. He lived the majority of his life on Monterey but was born and raised in the Willow Grove area. He started working upholstery back in the 70s at Dixie Funiture. He worked many years in the furniture and laminate business and retired from Collins Manufacturing. He was the biggest jokester of the Maxfield family.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law Gerald and Tammy Maxfield; Stepson and Stepdaughter in law Scott and Kim Watson; grandson Zachary Maxfield; granddaughter Rebecca Maxfield; 4 step grandchildren; Elizabeth Reams, Ethan Robbins, Kaden Watson, and Katherine Watson, Great grandchildren; Sean Maxfield, Shane Hickerson, and Valo Keck.

He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Dean Smith Maxfield; Brothers; Cullom, Frank, Grady, and John Epp Maxfield; Sisters, Ruth Phipps, Zelma Denney, Irene Mabrey, Maggie Hahun, Callie Renner, Mary Lovely, Nancy Chapman, Ruby Anderson, Doris Ray Maxfield and stepdaughter Kelly Joe Watson Robbins.
