Janice Ruth Duke Maynord, age 89, was born on March 31st 1937 in Livingston, Tennessee. She went to be with the Lord on November 1st.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Overton Duke and Ruthie Mai Matthew's Duke. Husband Kenneth McCoy Maynord and son Kenneth Russell Maynord. Two brothers, Horace Duke and Paul Duke and four sisters, Gladys Langford, Jean Williams, Hillis Masters and Blanch Fox.

She is survived by one daughter, Michele Maynord Kocher and husband Ted, Cookeville, Tennessee. Four grandchildren, Natalie Masters, Brittany Dulworth Taylor, Payton Maynord and Noah Maynord. Seven great grandchildren, Logan Masters, Haven Masters, Callie Masters, Taylor Apple, Gauge Apple and special adopted grandson, Houston McMeans. Two great great grand children, Kamber Maynord and Kada Maynord and a host of nieces and nephews.

Janice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook, housekeeper and seamstress. She took pleasure in preparing a meal or doing a kind favor for anyone in need. In her later years she made sure to stay in touch with her circle of friends by calling them every day. If she couldn't reach one of them she made sure she had their emergency contact number. She just wanted to make sure everyone was safe and ok. Most mornings you could find her in her chair with her Bible and her daily guidepost. She loved watching sports, especially basketball but March Madness was her favorite. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Livingston, Tennessee but in her final years attended Life Church in Cookeville with her daughter and husband. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Officiant: Donnie Davidson

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Hall Funeral Home on Friday, November 6, 2026 starting at 11AM until 1PM.

Funeral Services will be Friday, November 6, 2026 at 1PM with Donnie Davidson officiating. Burial will follow to the Overton County Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Livingston, TN.
