Janice Marie Dempsey, age 67, of Rickman, Tennessee passed away at Signature Health Care in Algood, Tennessee on Thursday, September 26, 2024.  Janice was born on Sunday, December 30, 1956, in Leesburg, Florida to the late Ralph and Ella Owenby.

Janice is survived by her Husband of 43 years, James "Jim" Dempsey.  She is also survived by her Daughter: Jamie Dodd (Chris), of Cookeville, Tennessee; and her Son: Jason Dempsey of Leesburg, Florida.  Five grand-children: Cheyenne Dempsey, Ella Dodd, Braden Griffin, Tyler Dempsey, and Simon Jemoya also survive.  Janice is also survived by her Brother: Ralph Owenby, Jr. (Janet), of Bellview, Florida; and her Sister: Debbie Ellam (Ralph), of Leesburg, Florida.

Janice attended the Rickman Church of God of Prophecy for many years. She loved her hobbies which included painting and crafting; but even more than her hobbies, she loved her family.  Janice was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Hall Funeral Home 2106 Cookeville Highway, Livingston, TN with Bro. Danny Strong officiating.
