Georgia Irene (Staggs) Taylor-Gibson, (91) of Cookeville, Tennessee, and formerly of Palmdale, California, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on (August 24, 2024).
Georgia was born on July 15, 1933 in Livingston,Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lester Staggs and Gladys (Ledbetter) Staggs Pryor.
Georgia beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, MA, aunt, and friend loved her family with all of her heart. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a caregivers heart, always willing to help anyone in need.
Georgia was loved by those who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will forever live on in our hearts. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her memory will continue to guide and inspire us.
Georgia is survived by, one daughter, Brenda Taylor Zimmerman of Cookeville TN; one brother, Larry Pryor; grandsons, Robert (Malinda) Zimmerman; Brian (Nikki) Burchett; Adam (Tina) Zimmerman; great grandchildren, Adam Zimmerman Jr.; Lyllian Zimmerman; Natalie Zimmerman; Matthew Zimmerman; Joseph Zimmerman; Laiken Burchett and Jaxon Zimmerman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was proceeded in death by her first husband of 26 years, Robert L. Taylor, Jr. and 2nd husband of 40 years, Byron E. Gibson; 5 sisters, Lorene Carmack; Jewell Dean Bean; Earline Pryor; Opal Holsapple and Evelyn Garrett; 2 brothers, Alvin Pryor and Edgar Pryor, Jr. and great granddaughter, Whitney Zimmerman;
Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 28th, 2024 at Hall Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ledbetter Cemetery.
The family will welcome friends at the funeral home at 12 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Pastor Alex Lisic. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Zimmerman, Brian Burchett, Adam Zimmerman Sr., Adam Zimmerman, Jr., Matthew Zimmerman and Gordon Dorsey.
